How to Edit Text in PDF on Mac
With PDFelement for Mac, you can edit, add, and remove texts, as well as change text properties.
1. Edit Text
- Click the "Text" button on the Secondary Toolbar, then select the text you want to edit. Type new text to replace the selected text, or press Delete to remove it.
- Modify the font, size, layout, color, or other formatting options on the right-side panel.

If you experience a failure in editing the PDF, please run the OCR process to make the text editable. If this is the case, you will see a blue highlighted notice informing you that it needs to run this operation on the file. Please refer to the chapter of "OCR PDF on Mac" for more instructions on how to perform OCR before editing a scanned PDF file.2. Add Text
- You can add or insert new text into a PDF using the Text feature.
- Select the "Add Text" tool, and click the location where you wish to place the new text. An input box will appear for adding text.
- You can change the font name, size, color, alignment, and other text properties in the right panel.
