How to Save Excel as PDF Document

Need to save Excel file as PDF format? Unfortunately, Windows users are not as lucky as Mac users. Microsoft Office doesn't provide the feature "Print to PDF" for users like what Apple does in its Mac OS X operating system. To save Excel as PDF in Windows, you have two ways to do it:

  1. Save Excel as PDF with 3rd Party tools
  2. Save Excel as PDF with Microsoft Office Excel

Solution 1: Save Excel as PDF with 3rd Party tools

Step 1:Download and install the Excel to PDF Converter

Click the download button to get the Excel to PDF Converter installer. And then follow prompts to install it on your computer. After installing, launch the PDF tool right now! Both Windows and Mac Excel to PDF Converter are available. Please choose the right one for your computer. In the following, we take the Windows version as an example, telling you how to save Excel workbooks as PDF files.


Step 2: Save Excel as PDF document

Click the Home tab and you will found 4 options there, simple choose Create PDF and click it, then you can open Excel workbooks in the PDF tool as PDF files. Later, just held down Contrl  and S key to save them on your computer respectively.

As you see, right beside From File in the Convert menu, there is an option named as Combine Files. If you need to save several Excel workbooks as well as other types of files as a single PDF file, you can click it to enable the Combine Files window. In the window, just click Add Files to import files you need and click Combine to merge them into a single PDF file.
