Step 3. Specify an area in the PDF that will play the music when clicking on. Just like in PowerPoint, drag the rectangle that appears on the PDF to the area you need it to be. When you do that, the Add Sound dialogue box could pop up.

Step 4. In the Content Settings section, click a radio button to choose the music you need to add in the PDF. Be careful, the music format should be compatible with Adobe Acrobat 6 Professional. Otherwise, you will fail to embed music to the PDF page.

Step 5. Just as what you do as usual, browse the music file in your local drive and select the desired music to finish the adding file dialogue.

Step 6. Customize the active area.

  • Use No Poster is the default setting which means you're going to play the music by clicking the active area, which has a border.
  • Create Poster From File means you can customize the active area with an image, which of course, needs extra work in adjusting the image.

Step 7. When everything is ready, click OK to finish the whole process of adding the sound to the PDF.
